About
I’m an evolutionary biologist with hands-on experience in modern and ancient DNA across many vertebrate systems, from large mammals to island endemics. That background means I design with scientific accuracy first—clear hierarchies, color-blind–safe palettes, and layouts tailored to your story and your journal’s specs. I’ve created multiple journal covers and dozens of figures and graphical abstracts that help papers stand out and get understood. My Creative Process
Consultation
I begin by deeply understanding your project goals, audience, and specific requirements through thoughtful discussion and exploration.
Research & References
I review your manuscript, figures, and key sources, then look up reference material and recent literature to ensure scientific accuracy. This includes anatomy and morphology checks for study species, consistent terminology, and any journal-specific guidelines. I’ll also gather visual references (styles, palettes, comparable covers/figures) and propose an approach that fits your story.
Creation
I develop 2–3 concept sketches, then refine the selected direction through focused revisions. Final artwork is delivered journal-ready (vector and high-res raster) with correct color modes (CMYK/RGB), accessible palettes, and clean labeling. You’ll receive editable files (AI/SVG/PDF) plus PNG/TIFF exports sized for covers, figures, slides, or social.
